SignFinder is an invitation-only tool for planning sign placements and recording field work. It stores your account email/name, password hash, routes, sign locations, placement notes, photographs, team membership, and drive recordings in its Railway-hosted backend. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Account access is managed by the workspace owner.

The iPhone app stores account-scoped records and offline files on the device. A drive you explicitly start can collect location while the app is in the background. Pause or finish the recording to stop background collection. Sign-out stops recording and navigation; previously stored records may remain on the device for recovery. The owner can remove online access but cannot remotely erase every offline copy.

When you request Google route optimization, SignFinder sends the route’s starting point and selected stop coordinates to Google. Google navigation uses your device location and chosen destination and may process device/usage data under Google's policies. Optimized Google itineraries, estimates, and geometry are displayed in the native Google map and retained in memory for the current session. SignFinder keeps the placement and skip decisions you make.

Google Maps functionality is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service. The main map sends the area you view to Google using Maps JavaScript API, including inside the iPhone app. Google imagery is not saved in the offline cache. Backup maps can request OpenStreetMap tiles or Esri imagery if Google cannot load. Address and business search sends your search text and the current map center to Google Places. Selected search results stay temporary; SignFinder does not save Google business records in your workspace. Street View sends the point you choose to Google, and Live traffic loads current congestion for the map area. Route-origin address lookup can request data from Esri; the current open-source road router receives coordinates when you explicitly request its routes. External directions links share their destination with the maps application you select.

Contact the workspace owner through your existing invitation contact to request account removal, an export, or deletion of field records.
